ARTIST CRUSH: Kate Long Stevenson

Y'all have probably already heard of Kate Long Stevenson's gorgeous abstract figure studies, but I just wanted to highlight her real quick as one of my all time favorite artists.  I don't think I have ever come across another painter who's use of color resonated with me so well- her pallets are always so spot on, creating the most stunning, subtle, elegant combinations to go along with her nudes.  The combo for me really just ranks at the top!  I surely can't pick a favorite, but here are a few...

Hello there!

My very first blog post!  Thank you guys for showing interest in my art.  I'm so excited and nervous to put my work out there, but it has been a long time coming.  After some recent troubles with my health, life gave me the kick-in-the-pants I needed to finally make this jump.  Painting has been an outlet that felt like home for so many years and it just makes sense for me to seriously pursue something that gives me so much life and joy.  I am so thankful that I'm able to create- make something with my hands that speaks to you and I am eternally grateful for all of the support from family, friends, and strangers alike.  I would love to have you all follow along with this journey and reach out to say hello!
